The Artist: Dan Flavin
The Show: Four Early Works
Paula Cooper Gallery presents four early and exploratory works by florescent light artist Dan Flavin
September 10 – October 30, 2010
In the 1960s minimalist artist Dan Flavin began a long series of experiments in activating sculptural and architectural space with colored light. On display at the Paula Cooper Gallery are an early (1964) 8-foot vertical column, untitled (to Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Inch), a pink and yellow barred corridor installation untitled (to Barry, Mike, Chuck and Leonard) and two other corner pieces from the 1960s.
