Great Spring: Designs that embrace the season 2021
Spring is upon us, and what better way to celebrate than enjoying some fantastic pieces that reflect the season. Here’s a selection of some of my favorite pieces that encourage full enjoyment of springtime.
Vases
The Thinking of You Vase is by Tord Boontje, no wonder I like it. But a vase made from metal is somewhat untraditional, making it an interesting way to show of your bouquet of spring flowers. You can purchase one at Moss.
FlowerWave

If your garden has gone into full bloom, you might be wondering what to do with all of your flowers. Fortunately there is FlowerWave by Knud Holscher Design, which allows you to match the puzzle piece-like vases together to accommodate even the biggest of flowers. Available at Objekts.
Felt Rugs
Italian designer Paolo Lenti has embraced the recent felt trend and with it made simple but creative rug designs. The calm colors, especially gray, are a great combination with the brighter shades normally associated with spring.

Organic bedding

If winter weather is still holding back the spring sun, why not bring the garden inside? Amenity has a modern line of bedding that is made from all organically grown cotton; what better way to celebrate the return of outdoor life?
Outdoor furniture

Living far in the north, Scandinavians spend a lot of time in the dark, so when spring and sunlight comes around it is no surprise that they want to take advantage of it. Inspired by the need to get outdoors, Swedish designer Erika Lovqvist created her Water Lily collection, available at Chimra in Stockholm.

Warmer weather should lead to more time outside. Designed by Nick Rawcliffe of Raw Studio, the hanging chairs are sleek and functional, adding an element of fun to your outdoor seating area or garden.
Flower pots
If you want to take advantage of spring but are lacking a green thumb, you need to get your hands on a Grobal. The “techno-organic” planter is a self-watering planter intended to save you from over watering, which in turns makes you just a little more environmentally friendly. Self sufficient plants may just be the best thing Spring 2008 has to offer.
