The Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History turned down Stephen Colbert’s efforts to have his image displayed. But the National Portrait Gallery, famous for its portraits of the presidents but also home to unique portrayals of athletes, hip-hop artists and Hollywood stars, welcomed the idea. The fourth execution of San Francisco’s “Beach Impeach” rally is set to happen on Oct. 7th at 11 A.M. at the Berkley Marina. Approximately 1500 people in support of impeaching George Bush and Dick Cheney will be spelling out ‘IMPEACH!’ in 120-foot lettering.
