Decorative light sculptures

The Chinese Garden Park in Singapore, Southeast Asia, was decorated with multitudes of lanterns in different shapes and forms. The festive occasion was the Mid-Autumn Festival. A lantern’s basic components were it’s metal frame, thin transparent / translucent fabric and light bulbs. Biological, fantasy and mythical animals were constructed and displayed in themes around the park grounds.

This is Noah’s Ark, with pairs of animals. The rainbow is the cream of the cake.

There is a pair of fighting bulls in the foreground and some spectator birds sitting atop the tree in the background.

Here’s a close up of Noah’s family and some of his animals. You can notice how each animal sculpture has several light bulbs inside it’s body. The colors of the material show up nicely when the light shines through them.
